The main goal of this project is to transfer knowledge on sheephusbandry from Finland (Suomussalmi) and Russian universities to the Kalevala-Region. During the year of this action those inhabitants of the district of Kalevala, who are interested in sheephusbandry, will get education (theory/practice). Study trips and practical training will be organized on sheepfarms in Suomussalmi. Sheepexperts from both Russia and Finland will participate in teaching and in providing literature. Most of theory-teaching will happen in Kalevala. Sheep will be imported from the Yaroslav-region (romanov-sheep) and maybe some from the carelian Lahdenpochski-raion (earlier imported sheep from Finland). About 1/3 of the budget is reserved to buy sheep and fences, needed to start sheephusbandry with help of this project.
The aim of this action is to create new enterpreneurship (primary production) in the villages of Luusalmi, Borovoi, Haikola, Paanajärvi and in Kalevala, with low investments. It is possible to make a living with help of sheephusbandry (processing of meat, wool and skins).
Beneficiaries: consumers in Russia (especially citizens from southern states of Russia, living in the Republic of Karelia and both domestic as foreign tourists in the district of Kalevala.

Первой задачей Антонина (Тоня) должна найти помещение для бюро проекта, пригласить руководящую группу проекта и выяснить, кто из предпринимателей заинтересуется овцеводством и курсами по разведению овец.После этого будут приняты заявки на организацию обучения и начнется планирование учебной программы.

Vuonnisessa syntyneen Antoninan (Tonjan) tehtävänä on alussa etsiä toimisto, kutsua projektiryhmä koolle sekä selvittää minkä verran on kiinnostusta osallistua lammastalouden koulutukseen.
